The top end and fishing are synonymous. Enjoy the enormous variety of fishing with all the gear and know-how for fishing in the Kimberley. The fabled Burramundi is the prime target species found in the Lower Ord River, the coastal creeks and estuarine rivers.
Threadfin Salmon, Mangrove Jack a variety of the Emperor Species, shark, cod and groper are all caught in these same waters. Fresh water fish species are widely spread throughout the waters of Lake Argyle and Lake Kununurra. Various species of silver cobbler, fresh water long toms, Black Bream or ‘sooty grunter’ and archer fish are all common in the fresh water systems of the East Kimberley.
